Welcome to my fourth Lanzarote travel blog instalment – I hope that you enjoy reading it and I hope you’ve liked this mini series so far!
Sunday 14th July
When I woke this morning, the first thing I did was finally admit I have a cold. Yes, somehow it is 25-30°C/roughly 80°F and I have caught a cold… Well done me! After overcoming that realisation, I sat down and watched some YouTube videos on my computer whilst sipping on some Coca-Cola, before getting dressed into my leggings and my mum’s sweatshirt that I nicked!
Not much later, we headed over to Teguise Market – which runs on Sundays and it is the biggest market on the island (I can confirm this fact, it is big!). Again, there was a little bit of a car journey, which made it the perfect opportunity to listen to more According Two podcast episodes, yay!
Once we arrived we had a short walk in order to get to the market itself and I had to tie my hair up because it was very windy! At the market, my dad bought some aloe vera tablets from this aloe museum place for about €40 – ouch! (yes, it’s on the credit card!) We didn’t buy anything else there!
We headed into Costa Teguise for lunch at a little restaurant place called Cesare. I had a ‘vegetarian sandwich’ which had lettuce, tomato, avocado and mozzarella in it with a side of fries. It was quite tasty, I thought! After lunch, we visited a pharmacy to pick up something for my cold (a.k.a HUGE tablets…) and my dad bought me a t shirt in a shop. After wandering around for a bit, we decided to head back to the villa.
We popped to the shop when we returned as we needed to pick up some bits. As per, I bumped into my friend The Cat and in the shop I got some white chocolate covered Oreos and some Chips Ahoy! cookies to munch on!
My next venture took me into the pool. I spent more time in the pool today than I have any day so far. I did some swimming and splashing around and then I took some underwater videos with my action camera. I showered and washed my hair after I’d finished swimming and my mum very kindly straightened it for me!
And yes, you guessed it, we went out for another couple of games of bowling. I bowled my worst games yet and although I enjoyed it, I may suggest mini golf for tomorrow! This’ll give my bowling arm a bit of a break! My dad won, again! The woman who works there gave us some money off as we’ve been there a few times and she has recognised us each time – I thought this was quite nice of her!
We went to dinner at Lani’s again because my dad wanted lobster. I had steak as my main course and a latte to top it off. The bill came to €70 and we had to wait an hour for it! I do not want to see the bank statement for this holiday! On the way back from dinner the sweetest little cat excitedly ran up to me when she saw me walk past demanding strokes and cuddles. Obviously, I satisfied her needs as she was so cute – I didn’t get an image of her though. I saw another couple of cats after seeing her as well and I even saw one wandering near the restaurant at dinner (definitely not complaining!)
And that concludes Day Four – let me know what your favourite day is so far!
See you tomorrow!
