You know what it is, that time of the month again! June was an eventful month, I finished my first round of A Levels, as well as enrolling for my third year at college. But, what did I love within this month?
I’m sorry this has come out so late in the month, but I had other priorities!
June Favourites
1. Makeup Revolution
Throughout June, I got super into makeup again – I even posted some videos on my YouTube Channel! I also discovered that my favourite brand is now Revolution. I have so many of their products. There’s other brands I absolutely love as well but I think Revolution takes the top spot for me because it’s really decent makeup and it’s so affordable! If you’re after some new makeup, I’d pop down to your local Superdrug and see what Revolution have on offer!
2. The Gym
My local ‘The Gym’ just had a promotion where they offered 16-18 year olds doing/finishing exams six weeks free gym access. Me and my friends JUMPED (quite literally) at the chance and signed up. We’ve all been there quite a few times over the last few weeks and honestly I cannot fault it. It’s a very new gym so it’s got really nice equipment and it’s got a really positive environment too. My membership expires soon (as I write this) but I’m hoping to get a full membership so that I can continue to go there. Many of my friends are moving to university in September so they may not sign up – but luckily I’m fine to go on my own!
3. Lanolips Strawberry Lip Balm
I decided I wanted to try this balm after I saw Soph (from sophdoesnails) using it in one of her YouTube videos. I’m so glad I did because honestly it’s a lifesaver. I love my EOS lipbalms but I do find they don’t keep you moisturised for all that long. This, however, does! For instance, I put some on my lips one morning before my psychology exam at around 7:30am. My exam started at 9:30 and finished at around 12pm – I could still feel it moisturising my lips after my exam! I’d defo recommend thissss! You don’t need very much of the product at all as it is quite a thick formula so I think it’ll last a while!
4. The Original BeautyBlender
I’ve had a Superdrug/B. makeup sponge thing for a long time and I’ve always found it a bit ‘meh’ and preferred to use my fingers or brushes. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about though because every beauty guru I seem to watch or read about raves about these sponges… I managed to find a brand new one cheap on Depop to try and and I have to admit that I actually love it! Now that I’ve learnt to use it properly and I’m using a decent quality sponge, it’s an essential part of my makeup bag! I can apply concealer and foundation with so much ease! Also it’s pink!
5. EmmaStudies Printables
Emma’s printables literally saved my life when I was planning my revision for my A Levels. It was such a bonus to have such an aesthetically pleasing weekly planner and it really made me feel much more at ease when it came to my time management. Emma has so many different printables for so many different things, so I’d definitely recommend you to look up her blog first when looking for something to make your life easier! Thank you Emma for saving my A Levels!
6. SophDoesNails
My recent makeup obsession is probably down to Soph. I’ve been watching a lot of her videos lately on Youtube and they have really inspired me, hence why I’ve pushed more beauty content on my own channel. Obviously my channel is still called JessStudies so there’s still going to be a fair amount of school type content but I wanted to mix it up a bit. If you’re looking for funny and entertaining beauty related videos, Soph’s videos are the way to go! I would recommend her channel to anyone.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my June Favourites – sorry again that it’s so late in the month!
