Ah, it’s August! August is going to be a busy month, there’s my mum’s birthday and results day and possibly even a trip to Scotland! I thought that I would start it off by telling you all about some things that I loved in July!
July Favourites
Lululemon Align Leggings
I went to London in early July and I went into Lululemon (a sportswear shop, for those of you who don’t know!) to try on some of these leggings because I’ve always been intrigued by them. I was right to be as well because honestly as soon as I slipped them on my legs, I never ever wanted to take them off again! I mean, forking out £88 on a pair of leggings is a bit of a stretch but I seriously have no regrets. I’m saving up to get some more!
According Two Podcast
I’m not usually a podcast kinda gal, but when I heard that two YouTubers I’ve been watching for years were bringing one out, I decided to have a go at it! Megan and Ciera from TheCheernastics2 (TC2) channel run it, and I found it to be quite easy listening as I’m very used to the sound of their voices and the way in which they speak. I’ve been able to learn so much more about them from the podcast despite watching their videos for such a long time so I’ve been really enjoying it – particularly when I was on holiday.
The Sims 4
I’ve had The Sims 4 ever since it came out in roughly 2013 or 14 and I’ve only ever played the base game and not really thought much of the game. I played The Sims 3 a lot more as I had several expansions and I was more used to the gameplay etc. As The Sims 4 has improved though, I’ve found myself liking it more and more! I purchased (on my mum’s PayPal Credit – don’t worry she said I could!!) an expansion pack, a game pack AND a stuff pack as Origin (or something??) were holding a promotion to get money off when you buy a ‘bundle’. Instead of it being almost £70 it was only £40-something and I thought this was a pretty good deal because expansion packs are almost £40 alone! I got the Seasons Expansion because I thought that it would be quite cool to celebrate Christmas etc. and also see the world change as it goes through the seasons. I got the Parenthood Game Pack because all my families were having or just had children and I thought it’d be quite a good addition and finally I got the Laundry Day pack because I had a washing machine in my Sims 3 game and I thought that it would be a nice addition to my new families. Yes, I then played The Sims for about 10 hours straight.
Ikea Tabletop
I bought an Ikea table top which is essentially a block of nice looking wood to use as an easy background for my blog photos. I also did a touch of DIY and managed to stick my old marble background to the back so now I have a double sided backdrop! It’s going to make my life so much easier!
Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Oily/Combi Skin
I needed a new foundation because my e.l.f one was starting to run down a bit and it wasn’t really the right colour/ I’d heard a lot of good things about the Revlon foundation and decided that I would give it a go. It is really nice, I like it! I got the colour Buff which is one of the lightest ones and I think that’s it’s a pretty good colour for me. It has no or very little oil in it too so it doesn’t make me look all shiny after a while as my skin can get oily in places. I think that the coverage is good too and it feels lightweight on my skin. It has SPF 15 in it as well which is always super handyyyy! I think that I would definitely buy this foundation again, hence why I’ve featured it in this post!
I hope you enjoyed reading about my July Favourites! I hoping to write some more posts in the next few days so keep your eyes peeled!
Thanks for reading – which product would you buy out of the above?
