It’s finally the beginning of February which means it’s time for a round up of my January Favourites! Before I get too much into this, I would just like to apologise again for doing a pretty rubbish job of posting when I’m meant to, I will make it up to you I promise! But for now, let’s get on with my January Favourites! (Yes, I am aware I sound like I’m writing a script for a YouTube video!)
Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel
The first thing I loved in January Lush’s Snow Fairy Shower Gel, which I managed to purchase in the post-Christmas sales! It makes me smell amazing and I have SO much of it right now as I bought such a big bottle! The sad thing though, is that it is seasonal, which means that it is not available in shops right now. However, if you can get your hands on some, I’d highly recommend it! I mean, yeah, it is very sweet smelling, but once it’s on you it isn’t so overpowering-but still quite strong! (it’s also GLITTERYYYY)
Carex Fun Hand Gel (Strawberry Laces and Bubblegum)
The second thing I loved throughout January was the Carex Fun Strawberry Laces and Bubblegum Hand Gel. I use hand sanitiser (is that a word?) a lot, and so to get some that doesn’t just smell of alcohol is a pretty big plus for me! Unfortunately it doesn’t TASTE like the smell, but I find the smell pretty good as it is! If you want clean hands without smelling like a alcoholic, I’d definitely recommend these!
Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon
The third thing I loved in January was the book Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon. I managed to read it in only 2 or 3 days, I found the story to be really quite gripping! I’m not going to go too much into detail because I have planned to do a separate review post for this! I’m hoping to watch the film soon as well!
Batiste 2 in 1 Invisible Dry Shampoo & Conditioner
The fourth thing used and loved in January was the Batiste 2 in 1 Dry Shampoo and Conditioner! This is a LIFESAVER for lazy days, or when you’re not quite feeling tip top! I’m telling you, it at least makes you FEEL like you’ve made an effort! I’d recommend this over ordinary dry shampoo, I think, because it has the extra conditioning element which I think makes your hair feel just a little bit fresher and more manageable!
Conceal and Define Concealer from Makeup Revolution
The fifth, and final, thing I loved in January was the new Conceal and Define Concealer by Makeup Revolution. I’d heard so many great things about this, and I was in the market for a new concealer so obviously I had to go and try it out. Guess what? It only cost £4! That’s a pretty good deal for a concealer! I have the concealer in C2, the lightest is C1 and the darkest currently is C18, however I think (if it isn’t out already) Makeup Revolution are planning on bring out some additional shades! I like this concealer (hence why it has been featured here!), I think that is is really light (as in weight, I KNOW I’m pale) and it has good coverage. I don’t currently have a photograph of it on my face but I may post one on my Instagram (@jessblogs) in the future and perhaps do a comparison. I think I may do a full review of this in a separate post at some point!
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my January Favourites post! I know it has been long awaited because I’d fallen behind slightly in my posting! Maybe February will be the month I finally post everything when I’m meant to… Who knows? Also I have a few but, if you think of any additional questions for me for my Q&A (to be posted 12th February) please send them to me or write them on my Sarahah (jesslouiseblogs.sarahah.com), thanks in advance I appreciate it!
Thanks for reading, hopefully I will be back on Monday with an Update on my 100 Days of Productivity!
