Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!
I haven’t done a recipe in a while and yesterday I decided to do some baking! I baked Iced Spice Biscuits and they’re essentially just ordinary basic iced biscuits. The photos are a bit dodgy because I didn’t have much space and apparently I can’t bake to save my life! Anyway, here’s the recipe, let’s hope you do a better job than me!
ICED SPICE COOKIES
Ingredients:
- 250g Plain Flour
- 150g Butter
- 150g Brown Sugar
- 1 Egg, beaten
- 2 teaspoons Mixed Spice
- Pinch of Salt
And for the icing:
- 225g Icing Sugar
- 1-2 tablespoons Hot Water
- (OPTIONAL) Food Colouring
Method:
STEP ONE: Firstly pre-heat the oven to 190c/Gas 4 and grease a baking tray/sheet.
STEP TWO: Mix together the butter and sugar, beating in the egg a bit at a time. Ensure you get rid of any lumps of butter.

STEP THREE: Sift in the flour, spice and salt to form a dough.

STEP FOUR: Turn out onto a floured surface and roll out using a rolling pin
STEP FIVE: Use cutters of your choice to cut out your biscuits. I used a Young Epilepsy Star cutter and an ordinary circle one.
STEP SIX: Place in the oven for roughly fifteen minutes. Leave to cool.

STEP SEVEN: Make the icing whilst they are cooking/cooling by weighing out the icing sugar and adding the desired amount of water. Mix well.
STEP EIGHT: Ice your cookies, wait to set slightly, then EAT! Enjoy!!
I hope you enjoyed my recipe… The photos are terrrriiibbblllee, I KNOW! Also, I’m really sorry that the post is up a day late, I was busy yesterday!! I’m having a meal out ans sleepover tonight woo!
New post on Monday about what I was doing yesterday!
