Yesterday, I was meant to post a fashion post but I got caught up in other things and so I ended up not having enough photographs. I have now postponed that post and I’m doing this one instead; a review of the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Polaroid Camera. I have owned this little camera for a few years now, and I know a newer edition – the Instax Mini 9- has since come out, but there’s still so much to love about this older model! I have even reviewed this before on an old blog, but I now bring to you… The new and improved review!
About the camera:
I have the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 in Pink, but I believe that you can get it in several other colours including yellow, white and blue. It has a neat, compact body and I think that it is very simple to operate. The camera takes Fujifilm Instax Mini Film which is available in a variety of colours and patterns and from a number of retailers. The pictures do come out quite small but I still think that they are perfect for sticking on your wall or even in a scrapbook. With this camera it’s so easy to make great memories with your family and friends last! I especially like that although it is a modern polaroid camera, the pictures still have that same kind of effect that they would have had they been taken on a proper vintage polaroid camera (Fun Fact: The first photo ever taken of me was taken on a polaroid camera, that my parents had to borrow from someone!). The only downside, I would say, of this little camera is that the film can come up quite pricey, but I do find that buying it in ‘bulk’ is actually relatively good value for money! I think that the only real differences between the Instax 8 and the Instax 9 is that the Instax 9 comes in different colours and it includes a selfie mirror thing and some other techy stuff but other than that, they’re very much the same!
There’s no denying that I love this camera! I’ve captured excellent photos over the years of amazing memories! I hope that in the future I’ll be able to get even more photos! Overall I would give this cute camera 4/5 Stars, I’ve only marked it down because of the cost of the film sometimes (it varys on retailer). If you’re interested in buying this lil camera I’ve included a link here:
I hope you enjoyed my review, do you like my new layout for reviews? I think the sub-headings make it easier to read and breaks it up a bit! I’m sorry that this post was a day late, I will try and keep on top of it in the future!
Thanks for reading x
