We all know how much I love a lip product, just see my EOS Lipbalm Review, Glossier Balm Dot Com Review, My June Favourites featuring Lanolips and many other posts! When I heard e.l.f cosmetics were bringing out a new, limited edition, JellyPop range – I knew I had to try it! I quite like e.l.f as a brand anyway so I knew that the product would live up to my expectations! There are several products within the range, but I picked up the Lip Gloss in Watermelon and Cherry flavours.
This product is ever-so slightly different to the lip products that I usually opt for. As suggested by previous posts, I love a hydrating (and often tasty too!) lipBALM. This product is different, it’s more of a sheer lip gloss – which is exactly what I was looking for! I wanted something that would give my lips a bit of a glow and something that I could also pair with a lip stick if I wished to. This does exactly that, I can use it alone or with other product, it also gives me a super stunning glow!
The flavour is subtle, as it is a gloss rather than a balm, but the scent is really quite strong. I have the Watermelon Gloss, which I think is really nice and my mum has the Cherry Gloss which is slightly more tame! The gloss comes in four flavours, Watermelon, Grape, Cherry and Apricot. If you like fruit themed cosmetics – this is perfect.
Priced at only £5, I thought that this was pretty reasonable. Most, if not all, of the previous lip products that I have reviewed on this blog have been slightly more expensive. If you’re looking for a good price, you’re in the right place here! It’s available from Superdrug in store and online (don’t forget if you’re a student and you’re shopping in store, you can get 10% your purchases if you have a Health & Beauty Card using Unidays!) and also the e.l.f cosmetics website.
Overall, I think this is a good product and I’m glad I picked it up. It’s not sticky or anything! If you would like to try this product too, I’d advise you to be quick as I think that the range is beginning to sell through!
