Time for yet another review! Last one for a while, I promise. You won’t see another one of these until at least some time in May (unless you count my monthly favourites!!). Today, I’m going to be reviewing something I purchased about a month ago. It’s the Blogger Essential Box by Dot Creates. I’ve heard a lot about ‘Dot Creates’ in the ‘blogosphere’ and their blogger stationery. Dot Creates is a small stationery business in the UK. I had a quick look on the website (currently closed until May 5th due to Danielle moving) and I was SOLD! There was some great bits on there and, of course, I was drawn towards the ‘Blogger Essentials Box’ because…uh, I’m a blogger! So what did I think of the overall product?
Dot Creates Blogger Essentials Box
I bought the Blogger Essentials Box for £29 in the sale (I think, I can’t check the website to confirm!) and it was vvvvery slightly delayed in arriving as there was a problem with the printer, but Danielle left a lovely note of apology in my box!
The Box
So this is the box! I like the yellow theme and the washi tape down the side! The writing was also handwritten which I think really adds to the authenticity of the product and it gives it a nice personal touch from the shop owner, Danielle.
When I first opened the box, I was greeted by a small card stating ‘You can never have too much stationery’ which I think is totally true! You really cannot have too much! This reminded me of when I got a Treatbox in October; the packaging with the tissue paper was very similar (except there was a sticker instead!)!
I opened the box to find everything neatly packaged and wrapped in bubble wrap! It fits perfectly like a jigsaw puzzle! The bubble wrap is a very good idea actually because it means that the items are much less likely to be damaged in delivery!
Pencils
On the top were these four super cute super sharp pencils! Each one has a different quote on it that pretty much correlates directly to blogging! These are so relatable! They say: ‘Eat Sleep Blog Repeat’, ‘Umm…’ (Very relatable!) ‘Put that magic on paper’ (Motivating!) and ‘I need coffee’ (yes!). These are a great addition to my pencil case! I like that there are rubbers on the end because most of my pencils don’t have that and I have to rummage around to try and find one!
Stickers
The next thing I looked at were these sticker sheets! I love stickers, but I love these even more! I’ve used them in my Ultimate Blog Planner (see below), my college diary and my college class books! I really like the handwritten style that’s been used! It makes them much more likeable! I also like the soft pastel colours used in the one on the left!
Prints
Next, were these four prints! Two are A5 and two are A6 and they’re an excellent addition to my desk! They say ‘Eat Sleep Blog Repeat’, ‘Life Is Better In Rose Gold’ (Good because my phone is that colour!), ‘Learn To Rest Not Quit’ and ‘Do More Of What Makes You Happy’. I like that they are motivating and encouraging!
Blog Planner Pad
The next thing (yes, there’s more!) was this A5 Blog Planner Pad. This is a really good way to organise blog posts and plan them! I don’t use this much as I also got the ‘Ultimate Blog Planner’ (see below) but I do use it to quickly jot down ideas before they leave my head and also to plan posts where I don’t know when they’re going to be published. (The book is in date order!). I’ve used it before when I accidentally missed out a post in my book so I planned it on here and stapled it in! There’s so many sheets so I can see this lasting some time!
The Ultimate Blog Planner
Now what you’ve all been waiting for, last but most definitely not least, I got the Dot Creates Ultimate Blog Planner which I now use for each and every one of my posts (since my March Favourites!). There were three different covers to choose from, this one, light greyish colour and dotty. I chose this one because, as I’ve mentioned many-a-time, I can’t stop myself from being drawn to pink! Most of the pages are like the Blog Planner Pad (see above) but they have a mini diary space at the bottom which is super cute. It also has various quotes throughout and space to organise sponsored content (if that concerns you). There’s some notes pages at the back where I have written a list of blog post ideas to sort out and a blogging to do list! This book is honestly such a game changer – I feel so much more organised! There’s so many pages, this could easily last a year!
Other things on Dot Creates
I wanted to buy almost the whole store, if I’m honest, but I could only afford this! Other things I liked included: Biscuit Coasters, Life Planner Desk Pad, Believe and Achieve Stickers (in Colour), Make Your Dreams Happen Print, Good Cuppa Tea Print and the Crazy Cat Lady Print. I would link the products but as I mentioned earlier, the site is currently down! You can see the products on her Instagram @dotcreates though! I definitely need to start saving for when the shop reopens!
Conclusion
Overall, I’m really impressed with the products and I use at least some of them on a daily basis. I think it’s good value for money as well as it is cheaper than buying all the items individually (I mean for starters the Ultimate Blog Planner is £12.99 or something alone!). I’d highly recommend this to any blogger – big or small. It’s great for organising, planning and making sure everything you need in a post is there! As well as making your blogging space/desk look nice and some stickers for decorating! That’s just an added bonus!
Would I Recommend? YESYesyes!
