Sea-Band Review

I haven’t done a review in a while, and I haven’t planned to do one for a while so I thought that I’d review a travel essential of mine as I think that it may be useful for other people too! I’m reviewing Sea-Bands!

Sea-Band Review

Sea-Bands, also known simply as ‘travel bands’ (Sea-Band is the main brand name), are a non-medicinal way to treat the symptoms of motion sickness including nausea. They are also commonly used during pregnancy to help with morning sickness. I have two sets of travel bands, one from Sea-Band and the other from Boots. They’re exactly the same, besides the pattern (I have two sets because I forgot them once!!). Mine are both children’s ones, but adult ones are available too! So how do they work?

The bands are worn on your wrists. You get two in a set, one for each wrist. They are placed on a certain acupressure point on each wrist (known as the Nei-Kuan point) which is usually three fingers (or the centre of your index finger) down from the base of your palm. It sounds complicated but each set of bands is provided with useful instructions. The plastic stud may feel a little uncomfortable at first but I think that you get used to it pretty quickly! The great thing is that they only take 3-5 minutes to start working! No more taking tablets 2 hours beforehand!

Personally, I think that they are really good, and I tend not to travel without them! Sometimes I combine them with motion sickness drugs, but mostly I don’t! I’m not sure if it’s placebo effect or not, but I honestly think they work. I know a few other people which they work for too, so I’d definitely recommend them!

If you’d like to find out more, check out the Sea-Band website ( www.sea-band.com/uk ) (this page is really good www.sea-band.com/uses-for-seaband) and if you’d like to but some, I recommend Boots (where I got the orange ones), Sainsbury’s (where I got the pink ones) or online (for instance Chemist’s Direct). Sea-Band is safe for anyone aged 3 upwards!

Overall, I’d give these 5/5 stars for usefulness and effectiveness! They retail at less that £10 and can be used over and over and over again for as long as you like, so they’re definitely worth investing in!

I hope you enjoyed my review and found it useful!

Thanks for reading – why don’t you send this post to someone who might find it really helpful?
