Scone Recipe

Heyy!

So today is Friday (the 13th, OOOOOOOOOO) and that means that there is a new post! Yay! I decided to do a recipe as I haven’t done one in a while! As you probably guessed from the title, yep, I’m doing a scone recipe! Here we go:

SCONE RECIPE

Ingredients:

  • 220g Self Raising Flour
  • 55g Butter
  • 25g Caster Sugar
  • 150ml Milk
  • 1 Egg (to glaze)
  • Roughly 70g Sultanas (Optional!)

Method:

Step One: Firstly preheat your oven to 220C/Gas Mark 4 and lightly grease a baking tray.

I used grease-proof paper

Step Two: Next weigh out and mix together the flour and the salt. Then rub in the butter.

Step Three: Now, stir in the sugar, then the milk, to form a nice soft dough. Add any sultanas etc. if you wish now.

Step Four: Next, place onto a floured surface and kneed lightly. Pat out to about 2cm thick. Use a round cookie cutter to cut out the shapes.

Step Five: Beat an egg in a separate cup or bowl and lightly glaze the scones using a pastry brush. Place in the over for about 12-15 minutes.

Step Six: Leave to cool slightly and then enjoy! Served nicely with Jam and Clotted Cream (or butter)

So yeahhh, that was today’s post. I hope you enjoyed it! You can print the post if you wish to use it, or I think you can pin it on Pinterest somehow! Don’t forget to come back on Monday for another post!

See you Mondayyyyyyyyyyyyy!
